WEEK 22
The unofficial mascot of the midwest can be found scattered throughout cornfields and overgrown by forest trees. These abandoned houses and farms have been left to stand their own test of time within the midwestern prairie. Drive along any highway and you are bound to see at least a few. North Dakota especially has a large amount of abandoned buildings. So much so that there have been a few books written on the subject, and even an interactive map which can be found here, on the Ghosts of North Dakota Website.
I bet all those people calling us flyover states are really mad they missed out on us now.
